Trips begin with GSE picking you up from your hometown, and taking you to the airport. Transportation is provided to pick up the travelers at the airport. Once you arrive you are taken to a downtown hotel.

We pick you up from the hotel to participate in various activities. Among them, the unforgettable “calenda” stands out, a traditional Oaxacan parade that enriches the cultural experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious dinner at a restaurant with Guelaguetza, where you can witness and immerse yourself in the folk dances and cultural events characteristic of Oaxaca.

We start the day with breakfast at the famous 20 de Noviembre Market, followed by an orientation meeting at the hotel. Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to explore the city and taste delicious local snacks.

On day five we will have the opportunity to interact with a local university and participate in debates and panels. As well as presentations and round tables with topics about the education system.

Day six will also be full of academic experiences. Connecting with bilingual schools that offer unique insights into their educational system. As part of your exchange experience you will have the opportunity to choose between taking a language class (Spanish or indigenous language) or a Culture and Civilization class.

As the day comes to an end, you have the option of enjoying a delightful dinner and to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and foster meaningful connections.

We will start the day by attending a traditional cooking class, where we will learn to prepare authentic local dishes and enjoy a delicious lunch with our culinary creations.

Afterwards, we will move to the rhythm of the music and learn to dance Latin beats in a fun dance class.

The afternoon will be filled with harmony and excitement as we attend a music concert from performed by the best local musicians.

We will embark on an exciting visit to Hierve el Agua, a natural wonder in Oaxaca. We will enjoy a day relaxing and swimming and learning about the petrified waterfalls . It will be an unforgettable experience that will connect us with the incredible nature of the region!

You have the freedom to explore at your own pace or simply relax and enjoy the charm of the city. In the evening, you will have the wonderful opportunity to dine with your new friends, savoring the flavors of the local cuisine and creating lasting memories together. It’s a perfect way to culminate the week with joy and appreciate the bonds you have forged during your stay. Enjoy your free day!

The day will begin by visiting elementary schools where we will get the change to talk to school admins and teachers and exchange ideas. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to interact with students and learn about their educational experiences.

The day will begin with various workshops. Our workshops include handicrafts made by you along side a local craftsman who will explain step-by-step the elaboration process, and talk about the history behind each handicraft.

The day will end with a Symphonic Concert, featuring magnificent musical pieces performed by talented musicians. It will be a day filled with learning, rhythm, and emotions through these enriching cultural activities.

We will embark on an excursion to Sierra Juarez, where we will explore the majestic natural beauty of the region. We will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and connect with the magnificent nature surrounding us. We will go hiking, zip lining and have a cookout. It will be an unforgettable experience.

On this exciting day, we will start with a visit to the historic archaeological site of Monte Albán. Here, we will immerse ourselves in the rich history and fascinating ruins of this ancient Zapotec city. The grand pyramids, temples, and intricate carvings will transport us back in time, offering a glimpse into the impressive civilization that once thrived here.

On our last day, you will have the opportunity to go last minute shopping and get ready to return back home. We will provide the transfer to the airport and we will have organized transportation that will take you back to your destination.
