About us

Global supply and exchange uses educational and cultural exchanges to increase mutual understanding between the education in the United States and the education in Oaxaca.

In particular, Global Supply and Exchange provides School districts, teachers and student teachers opportunities to travel abroad to interact with Oaxacan schools and experience their culture and values while sharing their own American culture and values. In addition, Global Supply and Exchange participants are involved in one or more professional activities, class observations in a K-12 classroom, teacher practice, cultural and language classes,  excursions, workshops.

Team Members

Our international team consists of passionate and talented individuals who bring a wealth of expertise from diverse backgrounds, including multinational enterprises, top nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions. From our dedicated employees to our experienced management team, board members, and advisers, we have assembled a group of exceptional individuals who are committed to our mission.

FERNANDO MARTÍNEZ SÁNCHEZ

Fernando Martínez Sánchez, from Oaxaca, Mexico, studied his Bachelor of Foreign Language Teaching at the Language School of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca (UABJO). He worked as a professor of Spanish and Latin American culture at Juniata College in the state of Pennsylvania, United States, for 6 years. Through Juniata College, Fernando was certified as a teacher of English (TESOL) in Otavalo, Ecuador. Since 2002 to 2022, was part of the Department of Spanish for International students of the Language Department ​​(FI), UABJO. He has been a teacher of Spanish in this department and in the Bachelor of Foreign Language Teaching of the same Language Department. He was coordinator of the Department of Spanish for International students of the FI from 2012 to 2018 and Director of Evaluation of the UABJO from 2016 – 2018. He was director of the FI of the UABJO from 2018 to 2022. At the moment, Fernando is the subdirector of Academics Support at the UABJO. His professional passion is working with national and international students, creating national and international academic projects, supporting students from communities in Oaxaca in vulnerable situations, and promoting national and international mobility in teachers, students and alumni.
