ABOUT US

Global supply and exchange uses educational and cultural exchanges to increase mutual understanding between the education in the United States and the education in Oaxaca.

The About Us page will provide a deeper understanding of our mission, vision, and model, in an inspiring yet clear format. We will remove the “Team Members” section to streamline the page and focus on the organization’s purpose and approach. The tone remains warm and inviting, with an emphasis on our core values of cultural immersion and global learning.

MISION

To promote educational and cultural exchange programs that empower participants with leadership skills and global awareness. We do this through bilingual programs and hands-on experiences that encourage research, collaboration, and personal growth in multicultural environments. By connecting people across borders, we aim to enhance empathy, understanding, and a shared commitment to positive change.

VISION

To be a leader in fostering cultural and academic exchange worldwide – connecting diverse communities, enriching personal and professional development, and building a more compassionate global society. We envision Global Supply Exchange as a bridge between cultures, where every exchange experience contributes to mutual understanding, lifelong friendships, and strengthened communities both abroad and at home.

OUR MODEL

Our Model: Global Supply Exchange offers a transformative journey that goes beyond a typical tour. Our program model blends pre-trip learning, immersive travel, and post-trip engagement:
Pre-Trip Workshops: Participants (especially student groups) take part in preparatory workshops or weekend gatherings before traveling. These sessions build foundational knowledge in areas like leadership, cultural sensitivity, global issues, and basic language skills. (For school-based programs, we partner with high schools to integrate these workshops for students.)

Immersive Exchange Travel: The core of the experience is a 1-2 week (e.g., 14-day) immersive trip abroad. In Oaxaca (and other destinations), participants live with host families or stay in local accommodations, attend interactive seminars and lectures about the region, visit schools and community projects, and join cultural activities and excursions. Every day is designed to encourage hands-on learning, whether through teaching in a classroom, engaging in a community service project, or learning to cook a traditional meal.

Post-Trip Impact: The journey doesn’t end when you return home. We encourage participants to reflect on their experience and continue the connection. Many remain in touch with their host families and peers, and some even initiate projects in their own communities inspired by what they learned abroad. Our alumni network and social media groups help everyone stay connected, share updates, and collaborate on future exchange initiatives.
